SEZ Virodhi Manch’s solidarity meet on Dec 14

PANJIM, DEC 2 - The SEZ Virodhi Manch, a collective of Keri Nagrik Samiti of Keri, People’s Movement Against SEZs of Loutolim, Nagoa and Verna, along with other grassroot people’s movements against SEZs in Sancoale, Quitol and Canacona, has appealed to Goans to attend in large numbers a solidarity meeting to be held at the historic Lohia Maidan in Margao on December 14 ,at 4 p.m.

According to a press release issued here by the Manch Spokesperson Edwin Pinto, the SEZ Virodhi Manch is supported by the Council for Social Justice & Peace, Goa Bachao Abhiyan and Jagrut Goem. So far, the Manch has held awareness meetings at Keri, Loutolim, Verna, Betul and Sancoale. All these meetings were attended in large numbers and ended with resolutions by the people not to rest until all SEZs were removed from Goan soil. Besides, awareness programmes have been conducted for smaller groups all over Goa.
