Another hill cutting case registered

MARGAO, FEB 7 — A day after Maina Curtorim police registered three seperate cases against hill cutting and land filling, their Cuncolim counterparts on Wednesday initiated action against unknown persons for hill cutting activity.

Acting on a complaint lodged by Town Planner S M Bykad, the Cuncolim police registered a case against unknown persons for illegal cutting of the hill near the Cuncolim Industrial Estate.
When the police visited the site of hill cutting activity, no men and machinery were found around. The police, however, said that the hill cutting was carried out only recently.
