TCP Minister's Resignation

GBA PRESS RELEASE 4th Jan ’07: In light of the developments of the resignation of the Town and Country Planning Minister today, the “Goa Bachao Abhiyan” reiterates that the agitation to demand the scrapping of the Regional Plan for Goa 2011 is in full swing and continues with renewed vigour.

The resignation of the Town and Country Planning Minister is not the concern of the Goa Bachao Abhiyan, as the GBA has repeatedly clarified that ours is a people’s movement directed solely against “Regional Plan 2011” and such other draconian policy decisions thrust down our throats, without any sanction or approval.

Ours is a movement not directed against any individual or party but against the entire political system that refuses to follow laid down democratic principles.

GOA BACHAO ABHIYAN
(Patricia Pinto)
Secretary.
